Police said no victim of homicide is ever forgotten, Capt. Miller said every homicide case remains open until it is solved.
Following a Sept. 19 transfer hearing in Madison County Juvenile Court, the court ruled that both could be tried as adults. Vinson's friends said he was very family oriented.
"As an officers you take an oath to uphold the laws of the city and state," said Capt. Miller. "That's what we do when someone takes a life, we don't stop until they're caught."
Tashonda Davis, 22 and Roderick Gladney, 27 were both indicted Monday by the Madison County grand jury for their involvement in the 2012 shootings deal of Jarvis Vinson, 23 of Jackson. Tuesday after officers increased their patrols through the city.
"After the fight she (Davis) made phone calls, people showed up to help. She was in one of the two cars that did the drive by," said Capt. Miller. "We believe she was one of the shooters."

In January, Beard, Smith and Crisp were all indicted by the grand jury. Crisp was released from the Madison County Jail in February after posting $250,000 dollars bond.

Three other Jackson men, Emanuel Beard, 18, Jateryance Smith, 18, and Kentavious Crisp, 23 are also charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder and aggravated assault in connection to Vinson's homicide. Beard and Smith who were both 17 at the time, were arrested in Jackson on Aug. 20, 2012.
Beard and Smith both remain in custody at the Madison County Jail in lieu of $250,000 dollars bond.
"He was innocent, accidents do happen but that was no accident, that was Puma Ignite V2 Running Shoes Review murder," Felicia Gray said, a friend of Vinson.
According to police, their investigation determined that there was a fight between Tashonda Davis and another man earlier in the night at a local nightclub. Officials said the man who Davis had fought with at the nightclub was dropping off Vinson and his cousin on Brianfield Drive in north Jackson when two cars pulled up and opened fire.
Friends said Vinson was a loving son, brother and father who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. In 2012, Vinson was brought by private vehicle to the hospital with a fatal gunshot wound he received while walking towards an apartment complex on Brianfield Drive in north Jackson.
