We have seen classic sneakers in abundance throughout year 2010 and it seems like it will be the same trend as we start the 2011. One of the classic silhouettes that received numbers of colorways last year would be the Nike Challenger which we’re again presenting here in a new color scheme.
The Nike Challenger has been one of the most favorite classic silhouettes particularly because of its simple yet stylish design. It’s now being showcased here with a dominant black upper that looks really good with accents of blue on the Nike swoosh and pink on the tongue piping and Nike branding on the heel tab. Its upper is composed primarily of nylon while suede makes up the trimmings along the eye rows, throat line, toe and heel, and mesh works on the toe box and sock liner. Complementing the upper of this classic pair is a white/blue midsole atop of the black outsole.
Sneakerheads can now scoop their own pair of this new Nike Challenger at select Nike accounts and online retailers.

In honor of the 25th year anniversary of Nike Dunk kicks, Nike is releasing the “Be True To Your Street” pack. Aside from the purple Dunk High that we’ve featured a few days ago, the Nike Dunk High Bronze/Pecan Polka Dot is also part of the said collection.
Judging from the sneakers previewed in this collection, the Nike Dunk High Bronze/Pecan Polka Dot is probably the most striking. This crowd pleaser features pecan textured leather on the upper and is combined with bronze polka dot underlay on the sides and perforations on the toe box. The polka dots aren’t something you see on sneakers most of the time, which certainly makes it even more interesting. The color combination is also a striking feature of this Dunk High yet it remains neutral, which is just perfect for street wear especially for the spring. To cap it all off, the Nike Dunk High Bronze/Pecan Polka Dot has black midsole and lining, which balances the colors and makes the striking colors pop.
20 pairs of sneakers are said to be part of the “Be True To Your Street” pack, which are now said to be retailing in Japan.

Hybrids and fusions on sneakers are popular these days, making people forget about the originals that brought these modern kicks to life. Now to bring back the memory of the past, Nike will be re-releasing the pearl of their archive, the Nike Sky Force 88 Vintage, which debuted in the year 1984 and reconstructed with new materials in 1988.
The Nike Sky Force 88 Vintage certainly brings an old school look reminiscing from the on-court hoops and play during the 80’s. Its design shows the old-fashioned Sky Force and basketball logo, which is featured on the tongue. Two simple colorways are also set to be released for the Nike Sky Force 88 Vintage, which are pre-aged to set that genuine vintage look. Aside from its vintage construction, these kicks also have oxidized soles to complete.
These red/white and black/white Nike Sky Force 88 Vintage kicks are set to drop this January and are expected to be the highlight of the Nike Spring collection for 2011.
